Connect your AI. Keep control of every change.

One connection serves the HookSpark plugins installed on your store. Your AI can read supported configuration and prepare validated proposals. The same WordPress user reviews and approves them before they are saved.

Before you connect

  • Use WordPress with the Abilities API (WordPress 6.9 or later), WooCommerce and the current HookSpark plugin versions.
  • Install and activate the official WordPress MCP Adapter separately. Choose an AI client that supports MCP.
  • For remote connections, use HTTPS and a dedicated WordPress user with permission to manage WooCommerce. A site administrator enables HookSpark AI access.

Connect a client

  1. Open HookSpark → Connect your AI and enable access. This switch does not install the adapter or sign in to your AI.
  2. Create a WordPress Application Password in the dedicated user’s profile. Keep it private; it inherits that user’s permissions and is not restricted to HookSpark tools.
  3. Configure the compatible client for your site’s MCP endpoint, shown on the AI access screen. Follow the official client setup instructions linked below. A cloud client cannot reach a local-only hostname.
  4. Ask the client to discover the available HookSpark abilities and read the configuration relevant to your task.

Prepare and approve a proposal

  1. Ask for a supported configuration change. Available actions depend on the plugin and edition installed.
  2. Open the returned review link in WordPress as the same user. Check the scope, values and current store configuration.
  3. Approve and save, or discard. Proposals expire after 15 minutes; a newer proposal replaces the previous one for that user. Stale proposals must be prepared again.

Supported tasks

Prepare quantity and order-amount rules, pricing rules, cart notices, product option groups and filter sets. Other tools cover supported checkout, side-cart, gift-card, quote and stock-alert settings. Gift-card gallery and Premium filter import/SEO tools are available where supported. Subscription tools concern supported product terms, not automatic customer transactions. These tools do not offer general edit/delete access to every store object.

An example that was tested

Claude Desktop read the existing Product Options & Add-Ons groups and proposed an inactive group with an existing image and an engraving field limited to four characters. The response returned a review link and a 15-minute expiry. The group was created only after the same user approved it in WordPress. Other clients and tasks must be checked against their own schemas and setup.

Disable access and protect your data

Turn off HookSpark AI access to disable our abilities. Other plugins may expose their own tools. Revoke the Application Password in WordPress to disconnect that credential. Configuration responses can include merchant text, selected identifiers and local media references: share them only with an AI service you trust.
