For simple virtual courses, collect authorization through a native saved payment method without charging at enrollment. The first installment is requested on the agreed date. A final date stops later renewals, with the final installment charged in full.

Keep Stripe and PayPal configured in their existing WooCommerce plugins. Manage the recurring plan, paid periods and cancellation in Subscriptions.
For software sellers, the separate HookSpark Licensing integration extends the existing entitlement after payment. Product subscriptions and the license to update this plugin are distinct.
Tested scope, stated clearly.
Real sandbox purchases have been completed with Classic and Blocks checkout, using Stripe 11.0.0 and PayPal Payments 4.1.3, for virtual and physical products. Automatic renewal, recovery and cancellation were demonstrated on the earlier 0.3.0 candidate. The expanded 0.5.0 candidate is undergoing its own acceptance.
This does not establish compatibility with every theme, WooCommerce extension, gateway version or live account. Contracts preserve the test/live mode selected in the installed gateway. New calendar and enrollment behavior is still undergoing final staging acceptance; no live-payment certification is claimed.

Verified combinations: WordPress 6.8 + WooCommerce 10.6.0, and WordPress 7.1 + WooCommerce 11.1.0, on PHP 8.2.29. Follow the WordPress requirement of your installed WooCommerce version. Other PHP branches and every intermediate combination have not been verified.

Questions before you start.
Does it include a new payment gateway?
No. Subscriptions integrates with supported WooCommerce payment plugins. Accounts and credentials remain in WooCommerce payment settings. Only the verified Stripe and PayPal plugin versions are integrated. Test and live contract contexts are kept separate.
Can I sell physical products?
Yes, in the tested sandbox scope. The renewal preserves the original shipping method, address, cost and taxes. Stock is checked before a fresh charge; paid physical orders remain processing for fulfillment. Delivery tracking and a separate shipping calendar are not included.
Can customers cancel?
Customers can stop future renewals in My account → Subscriptions. Cancellation preserves the already paid period until its expiry; it does not issue an automatic refund.
What happens after a failed payment?
The customer can complete a supported Stripe authentication/recovery flow or approve a replacement PayPal payment after a confirmed instrument decline. Uncertain outcomes require reconciliation rather than another automatic charge. A recovery does not change future PayPal wallet terms.
Will my existing gateway work?
Not automatically. Current sandbox tests cover WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway 11.0.0 and WooCommerce PayPal Payments 4.1.3. PayPal requires a merchant account enabled for saved payment methods. Other providers and versions are not verified. Live-mode behavior has automated tests with simulated responses, not a real live-payment certification.
Are memberships and course calendars included?
Dated virtual courses now support a future first charge, a fixed final date and a separate ordinary WooCommerce pay-in-full product. Customers can change intervals only among the choices the merchant enabled for their purchase. Membership restrictions and LMS content access are not included.
Is there a free edition?
No free edition is available. A premium-first release is being prepared. Pricing and the possible scope of a standalone free edition have not been approved.
Can I use it in production today?
No. This is a development preview. Sandbox tests do not establish live readiness. Final staging acceptance, hosted private delivery and the commercial launch checks must be completed first.
