HS Dynamic Pricing & Discount Rules · 0.1.0-alpha.3

Create your first promotion

Configure a 10% product discount, save it safely and verify the result from cart to order.

Before you start

Use a staging store with WooCommerce and HS Dynamic Pricing & Discount Rules active. Sign in with permission to manage WooCommerce. Choose a published simple product priced at 100, with enough stock. Keep other pricing engines disabled during the test.

Configure and save

  1. Open HookSpark → Pricing & Discounts → Create promotion.
  2. Name it 10% on the desk lamp. This name appears in the cart and order.
  3. Choose Product discount, Percentage off and value10.
  4. Search for the lamp in Include products. Empty inclusion fields include every product, so check the selection.
  5. Save the inactive rule. Use Cart simulator with the lamp and Include inactive promotions in this preview only:100 should become 90.
  6. Return to the rule, enable Promotion active after saving and save.

Verify the purchase

Add one lamp to the real cart. Expect 90, the promotion name and 10 savings before coupons. Proceed to checkout with a test gateway and complete an order. Check the saved line total and promotion name. The product catalog price stays 100.

If the price does not change

Confirm the rule is active and saved, the selected product matches and another offer has not won. Products already on sale are excluded by default; a coupon suspends the promotion by default. The simulator explains each rule. Avoid changing a rule while another person is editing it: stale saves are rejected rather than overwriting their changes.

Start from the product editor

Save your product, then open Product data → Pricing & Discounts. Review the related rules or choose Create rule for this product. This opens the rule editor with the product preselected; nothing is saved or activated until you complete the rule and save it.

For a specific variation, open Variations, expand it and use its own panel. The shortcut selects that variation. Summaries use saved catalog data; customer conditions, selected attributes and cart contents still need checking. These panels support the classic WooCommerce product editor.
