Pricing handbook / Install, update and verify compatibility

HS Dynamic Pricing & Discount Rules · 0.1.0-alpha.3

Install, update and verify compatibility

Use the alpha on staging and understand retained data, tested versions and unsupported integrations.

Install the development ZIP

Back up a staging site. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, select the Pricing ZIP, install and activate with WooCommerce active. The plugin bundles its own isolated Core; Min/Max is not required. Open HookSpark → Pricing & Discounts. It does not change catalog prices.

Update or roll back

Keep the previous ZIP and database backup. Back up before replacement, test a saved promotion and complete a synthetic checkout after updating. Deactivation and file removal retain rules and the campaign quota ledger. Current-candidate installation/reinstallation and the previous alpha.2 → alpha.3 upgrade were tested in isolated WordPress: saved rules, discount totals and consumed quota counts were retained. No automatic uninstall-data deletion is implemented. Do not roll back across an unreviewed future data migration.

Verified local environment

Minimum requirements: WordPress 6.8, WooCommerce 10.6 and PHP 8.2. Native lifecycle tests cover WP 6.8 / Woo 10.6.0 and WP 7.1 / Woo 11.1.0 on PHP 8.2.29. Other PHP branches and every intermediate combination have not been verified. Current Local reference: Twenty Twenty-Five, HPOS, classic and Blocks cart/checkout, and Min/Max coexistence. Fifty browser orders were checked during local alpha QA; this is not a promise of compatibility across all versions or gateways. Taxes remain native WooCommerce calculations. Inclusive/exclusive tax cases passed; mixed rates have integration-test evidence.

Boundaries

Simple products and variations with whole quantities are the current scope. Subscriptions, bundles, composites, fractional quantities, multi-currency, Elementor and other pricing engines are not validated. Mini-cart presentation outside native cart/checkout, full accessibility, time changes and dynamic country changes in Blocks need further verification.

Language and availability

English source strings, a POT template and a complete Italian interface catalog (PO/MO) are included. For the admin interface, choose Italiano in Users → Profile → Language; storefront messages follow the site language in Settings → General. Product names and promotion names entered by users are not translated automatically. Screenshots and this handbook remain in English. This is 0.1.0-alpha.3 for testing, not a production release. This plugin is free, with no paid upgrade. The current alpha is a test build.
