Products, customers and timing

Choose inclusions and exceptions, quantity and spend conditions, and scheduled dates.

Products and exceptions

Product, category and tag inclusions combine with OR. Categories include their descendants. Selecting a variable parent includes its variations. Exclusions always win: a specifically excluded Large variation remains full price even when its parent is included. With no inclusion criteria, every otherwise eligible product matches.

Customers

Select roles or search for customer accounts. Guest is a separate role choice. If both roles and accounts are included, both conditions must match. An excluded role or account wins over an inclusion. Account IDs belong to this WordPress site.

Quantity and spend

Minimum quantity is inclusive; maximum 0 means unlimited. A maximum below the minimum is rejected. Minimum net cart spend uses the original cart before these promotions and coupons, without shipping or taxes. It uses the whole original cart, including products outside this promotion; only eligible products receive the discount. It is a condition, not an additional discount. Changing quantities re-evaluates the rule. Above a positive maximum, the group loses the offer entirely; this does not cap the purchased quantity or discount only the first units.

Dates and sale products

Starts and Ends use the site timezone. Start is inclusive and end exclusive. Empty fields have no date boundary. An end before the start is rejected. Scheduled rules are checked when prices are calculated; a cron run is not required to decide eligibility.

Exclude products already on sale is on by default. Turn it off explicitly to discount the current sale price.

Verify both sides

Try an included and excluded product; repeat as guest and an eligible account. Test quantities below/at/above the limits and dates before/within/after the window using the simulator. Repeat a qualifying real purchase. If an account does not qualify, inspect both its role and account selection.
