Preview before enabling
Use the draft preview to choose a product or variation, quantity and customer context. Guest is available as an explicit choice. The preview evaluates unsaved configuration without writing it into the cart or saving the group.
A targeting mismatch means that the selected customer/product would not ordinarily receive the group. Preview does not impersonate that customer and is not a simulation of the customer’s address-dependent tax settings. The current source supports temporary file selection in draft preview. Files are checked for format, size and image dimensions using the storefront policy and are not archived by preview. The request supports up to 10 files and 10 MiB in total, subject to lower server limits. Changing conditions can clear hidden files; rebuilding the preview requires choosing them again. Authenticated browser acceptance verified a valid PNG, invalid content rejection and recovery with a valid replacement. Other field/context combinations remain separate acceptance work.
Export and import — Pro
Export downloads the saved groups, not unsaved editor changes or customer orders/files. Import adds disabled copies to the editor draft with new group identifiers. Review them and explicitly save; canceling or closing before saving does not publish them.
When a file comes from another site, match every product, variation, category, tag, customer, role and image reference to the correct destination. Numeric IDs cannot be assumed to identify the same objects on two installations. Inclusions and exclusions both require matching. No matching destination means the configuration needs review; the importer will not silently remove the restriction.
