Choose where a group appears
Use product, category and tag selectors to include the relevant catalog items. Product selectors can point to a variable parent or to individual variations. A parent selection includes its variations; a variation selection identifies that particular variation.
Within the catalog selectors, an item matching any included product, category or tag qualifies. Customer targeting is an additional requirement: both the catalog and audience conditions must match. Within customer selectors, a matching included customer or role qualifies.
Exclusions take precedence. For example, including a category and excluding a particular product in that category prevents the group from appearing on that product. Customer and role exclusions work in the same way.
With no catalog inclusion restrictions, the group is not limited to a selected product subset. Review this carefully before enabling a group. “All customers”, guests and registered customers control the audience; customer and role selectors refine it.
