Manage rules and bulk actions
Keep the rule list understandable as your catalog grows. Use descriptive names and review the exact selection before making a group change.
Find and edit a rule
- Open HookSpark → Min/Max → Rules.
- Use the list search and available filters to narrow the rules. Read the scope and summary as well as the name.
- Use the edit icon to open a rule. Change the intended fields and save.
- If you navigate away with unsaved changes, choose whether to stay or discard them. Returning to the list does not save a draft.
Enable, disable or duplicate
In the editor, the enable switch takes effect when you save. Disabling keeps the configuration but stops its purchase restrictions. Duplicating creates an inactive copy: rename it, review its product/customer scope, then explicitly enable it when ready.
Apply an action to several rules
- Select the checkboxes of the intended rows. Verify the selected count; do not assume a filter means every matching rule is selected.
- Choose activate, deactivate, duplicate or delete in the bulk controls and open the review.
- Read the list of selected rules and the described consequence.
- Confirm to apply it, or cancel to return without that change.
- Return to the list and verify the resulting states. Test affected purchases after activation.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Activate | Selected rules begin affecting matching purchases if validation permits. |
| Deactivate | Restrictions stop; settings remain. |
| Duplicate | Inactive copies are created. Selected parent/variation copies remain linked. |
| Delete | Selected rules are permanently removed; existing orders are not changed. |
Deletion and recovery
Export rules before deleting configuration you might need again. Deletion requires explicit confirmation and is not a WordPress post-trash workflow. Review any variation replacement links when removing parent rules. To pause a restriction, deactivate rather than delete it.
An expired or stale review
Bulk review expires after 15 minutes. If the collection changes in another session, the old review is rejected. Reload the list, select the intended rules again and prepare a fresh review. Do not use an old confirmation as proof of current settings.
Start from an example
The Examples and guide tab provides editable starting drafts. Open a preset, select the intended products/customers and review every limit. A preset is a starting configuration, not proof it suits your store or a saved active rule.
